any of the Lightkeepers within the period of three years from the date of embarkation for the Colony, either quit it without leave or relinquish his appointment (except from bodily or mental infirmity not being able to continue to perform his duty, such being certified by the Colonial Surgeon), he will refund the amount which shall have been paid for his passage to the Colony.
